The band was originally formed in 1971 as the “Yonker Valley Boy’s” with two members. Don Davis playing banjo and Conan Gill playing Guitar. A few years later a third member joined the band, John Huber on bass. This made up the “Brothers in law band". John and Don being brothers in law to Conan.

The original band played together for about 12 years. During that time they grew in popularity. One of their memorable times was playing with Birch Monroe as the staff band on Sunday afternoons at Bill Monroe’s old Bean Blossom Barn. Bean Blossom Indiana. Other members of the band at that time included Jim Hamm, Ron Patton and notably Glen Duncan “ Glen can be heard on dozens of recordings coming out of Nashville Tennessee”.

The band has reformed and now has a fourth member. Not a brother in law. The band can now be found playing in Brown County Indiana and surrounding counties and occationally near by states.
